Recycled 4 Can Lunch Cooler

7 May

Shown with full color imprint.

The new Recycled 4 Can Lunch Cooler from Leeds is nice example of a recycled content item that does not look made from recycled content. With a 100% recycled polyester outer shell, the retro top fold-over style is reminiscent of a paper lunch bag.

The Recycled 4 Can Lunch Cooler can be decorated with a full color logo using Leed’s multi-color transfer imprinting process, or the Recycled 4 Can Lunch Cooler can be screen printed with exact PMS spot colors.

For companies looking for lunch totes for employee health and wellness, or new hire programs, these cooler as a great option. If your company is working to project a sustainable image, even more so.

(Leeds does point out that the foil lining, webbing handle and webbing trim are not made with recycled materials.)

100% Organic and Made in USA

11 Apr

Now even cooler.

The EC1007U Unisex Tee from econscious, is checking all the boxes for Earth Day event tees this year. Ok, two boxes. But when if comes to sustainable tees, these are the two important ones.

The shirts are 100% certified organic ringspun cotton, and made in the USA. These are, what we call around the office, fashion tees, so a little sporty, very soft, and a little fashion forward.

The EC1007U Unisex Tee from econscious, features a cotton rib neck, side-seam construction, and a tear-away lapel. Tee shirt colors are Black, Olive, Pacific Blue, and White, with sizes from S to 2XL.

That’s about it. We are talking about a tee shirt after all. But if you need 100% organic and USA made, this is really one of the few tee options on the market.

Lucky, it is a very nice option.

If you are interested in EC1007U Unisex Tee from econscious to promote your own business, or to get a sample, email info@proformagreen.com for information and pricing.

Post Consumer Recycled PET Duffel

25 Mar

Used to be water bottles.

The Post Consumer Recycled PET Duffel from Goodhope bags could likely use a more catchy name. It does, however, look a lot better than it sounds, and could easily slip into a gym or college promotions program, on looks alone.

Made with recycled 52% PET material, and in this stylish two-tone design in green and tan (there is also an all black version), the Post Consumer Recycled PET Duffel, includes a couple of nice touches, like a generous sized front pocket and side zippered pocket. The overall size is 19″L x 10 ½”H x 10″W, which provides a spacious interior, and the Post Consumer Recycled PET Duffel come with a fabric-wrapped handles and adjustable shoulder strap.

What is Post Consumer Recycled PET? From the web, “PET (or Polyethylene terephthalate) plastic is it is one of the most common plastics in the world. You have probably seen this plastic in your soda and water bottles that are marked with the resin code #1. PET is produced from fossil fuels — typically natural gas and petroleum, but it is one of the easiest plastics to recycle.  Using this material means that we need use fewer virgin petroleum resources to make our products at the end of the day.”

So, lets say that basically 52% of this bag used to be water bottles. But, it is a really good looking bag, and not something that screams “I am recycled”, so if the recycled pedigree is important to your branding, we suggest incorporating a recycled theme into your artwork for the bag, or even adding a hag-tag with a message, explaining exactly why this bag fro your audience.

If you are interested in the Post Consumer Recycled PET Duffel to promote your own business, or to get a sample, email info@proformagreen.com for information and pricing.

And as always, if you really want to do something sustainable, do not buy promotional products. All products are consumption at one level or another. So if you must buy, 1) Buy local (i.e. made in USA), 2) Buy useful, long lasting items, 3) Buy sustainable/recycled/recyclable products if possible.

Now Smelling Like Apples

19 Mar

ApPeel® Medio Slim Journal

The complete ApPeel line from Castelli is unique in that these Made in Italy (but decorated in USA, so normal 5-7 turn around on orders) journals and padfolios are made from recycled apple waste. Yes, apples.

Take for example the ApPeel® Medio Slim Journal, “The ApPeel Medio Slim Journal is made from apple peels that are ground and emulsified into an organic paper. This ground breaking eco friendly product is animal friendly, sustainable and all natural. Size: 5 1/4 x 8 3/8. Gray end pages with colored stripes. Back paper pocket.”

When I first wrote about this line I mentioned “the silly questions”, saying the ApPeel Medio Notebook does not smell or not taste like apples. But now, apparently, they do smell like apples. Actually, you have an option of scents; apple, orange, lavender, or coffee. These is done by adding a sent packet to the completed custom journal.

Also, each ApPeel Medio Notebook is printed with information explaining that the ApPeel Medio Notebook is made from apple waste, and so that this story can be easily incorporated into your our sustainability marketing message.

Of course we love this idea for anyone working on campaigns for sales, production, or distribution channels in the grocery or fruit industry. If your company is doing something with apples specifically, all the better.

And teachers gifts, as a nice Appeel Medio Notebook is likely more practical then an actual apple.

If you are interested in the Appeel Padfolio to promote your own business, or to get a sample, email info@proformagreen.com for information and pricing.

Pens from Packing Material

19 Oct

Was packing material

The name for Recycled Tetra Pen is rather self evident. These pens are made from recycled Tetra Pak®, and similar food and beverage container material. So of course I have to wonder, are the office of Tetra Pak just full of these pens? I mean if you visit Nike, you can pretty much expect to see people in Nike products, right. I wonder if Tetra Pak is actually using these pens in their own marketing efforts.

The Recycled Tetra Pen is your basic black ink click style pen, and the pen has a 2 1/2″w x 11/16″h imprint area.

Because of these pens pedigree, they do make a nice tie-in for any company in the packing industry. Also would be a nice touch in sustainability programs being run by those same industries.

If you are interested in the Recycled Tetra Pen to promote your own business, or to get a sample, email info@proformagreen.com for information and pricing.

Trash Talking Cooler

10 Sep

“This is your trash talking” imprint on side of each bag.

The Trash Talking Recycled 6 Can Lunch Cooler from Leeds seems to get its name from the pre-printed artwork on the cooler itself.

Made from certified 100% recycled 140g non-woven PET, the Trash Talking Recycled 6 Can Lunch Cooler, features a zippered main compartment, and open front pocket. The inside of the cooler features an insulated, heat-sealed, water-resistant lining.

And of course it is the unique “Trash Talking” graphic on the side of each cooler that helps to promote the recycled message.

The large 5″H x 5″W imprint area on the Trash Talking Recycled 6 Can Lunch Cooler can be screen-printed, or Leeds’ PhotoGrafixx design also is available for full color decoration.

We like this cooler for camps or seminars, where the focus of the event is sustainability, or recycling, since the Trash Talking Recycled 6 Can Lunch Cooler is itself a physical example of a useful and practical item that can be manufactured from consumer waste materials.

Rolling Green on the Greens

7 Sep

The Wilson Eco Core golf ball is made from recycled material. Help the environment one golf ball at a time.

The Wilson® Eco Core Golf ball is a bit better than your standard ball, for the environment anyway, and it is a good try to bring a bit of green to the greens.

Basically the Wilson® Eco Core Golf balls have a core molded from unvulcanized automobile tires. They are packaged in recycled paper, and save about 40% of the materials, and energy to produce a ‘normal’ golf ball. The rubber from recycled tires replaces the virgin polybutadiene used in most all other golf balls.

For players, the internet says these balls are “lower-spinning distance ball”, but I confess I don’t know what that means.

For our industry, the imprinting goes on the ball itself, with pad print of 7/8″ diameter around the middle of the ball, or as a top of ball print, also at 7/8″. The imprint can have a max of 5 colors, with 4 color imprint being standard.

The recycled paper box is the standard retail looking packaging. It is not imprinted. But it does explain the pedigree of the golf balls inside, so that helps to get the sustainable story across to your audience.

So these are golf balls, which means golf events at their #1 promotional use. If your event, or course, is working on its environmental footprint, using these balls as the event give-away can add a nice touch.

If you are interested in the Wilson® Eco Core Golf ball to promote your own business, email info@proformagreen.com for information and pricing.
