18 oz. reusable BPA-Free flat-folding water bottle featuring stock art designed to look like a traditional bike bottle on both sides. Made of collapsible, bendable plastic that means bottle can be folded and easily stored away when empty and stands like any other bottle when full.
“It looks like a plasma bag.” That was a comment I heard about the first generation of folding water bottles. They worked well, but the basic bags had a basic design that perhaps owed more to capacity than to style.
Well, the “plasma bag” design issue is now being addressed by the folks at JetLine and Glass America.
Basically they made a folding reusable BPA free water bottle that looks like a plastic water bottle. The Jetline 18 oz. Smushy Flexible Bike Bottle and the Glass America 21276: 18 oz Red Foldable Bottle.
The new look does a lot. If the idea of a marketing / educational campaign is to teach using reusable water bottles instead of plastic water bottles, the fact that this thing looks like a plastic water bottle helps people make that connection.
So this is the idea. Go through security with the bottle empty in your carry-on, get on the other side, fill it with water, get on your plane.
I love this idea for travel agencies and anyone who has a salesforce that is always on the road. These are great for a business traveler audience because it’s cheap so you can give them away at tradeshows, but it is practical and useful, so it’s still going to be valued by those receiving.
