Biodegradable corn laces only come in white
Ok, this one took the office a minute to figure out, seeing how the Biodegradable Shoelace pitch from Marathon/Prestige seemed like a bit of overkill.
Most shoelaces are cotton, which is a natural fiber and therefore is biodegradable. Yes, some people like the organic cotton option, but all cotton, whether used for t-shirts, bags, etc., is plant fiber, and at some point it is going to break down, unlike say a polyester windbreaker.
So why the biodegradable tag on these shoelaces from Marathon/Prestige?
The tag was added because these shoelaces are not cotton, but made from refined corn fiber. So what you have is a shoelace with the shiny look of polyester but made from a biodegradable fabric. Neat trick, right?
Currently these corn laces are available in white only and run to size 36ins. The biodegradable corn shoelaces are screen printed with your company name, team logo, organization name, etc.
