CamelBak Better Bottle Enters Promotional Items Market

2 May

This is a guest post by John Simonetta, owner of Proforma Simonetta Freelance, an eco-friendly promotional items consultancy (see proformagreen.com). John’s blogs are designed to keep us up to date on the “greening” of his industry.

CamelBak is a very well respected name in the recreational items market. Indeed the CamelBak Better Bottle was voted a Bicycling Magazines Editor’s Choice and National Geographic Adventure Magazine’s Editor’s Choice in 2007.

Through a deal with Allen Color Craft the new BPA CamelBak Free Better Bottle, as well as the CamelBak Classic Bottle, CamelBak Chiller and CamelBak Podium Bottle, are now available to the promotional items market.

This follows a growing trend in the industry where brand name items as becoming available as promotional items branded with an organization’s name or logo. (Other examples Wenger Sports Equipment, Rollabind Organizers, even Laguiole® steak knifes).

With an EQP of $9.88 on the 0.5L CamelBak Better Bottle™, these bottles are certainly more expensive than standard promotional drinkware. Some of that price bump is the name, some of it is the actual design/quality that the CamelBak name implies.

For the Ecopreneurist, especially those working in the great outdoors, paying the extra for CamelBak brand might be worth the bump. Right away your organization’s name is associated with quality. For outdoor enthusiasts there are three top brands, SIGG, Nalgene and CamelBak.

Currently, of these three brands, only CamelBak seems to offer a direct channel – via Allen Color Craft – for branded promotional items.

If you are an ASI member Diana Hornsby is the contact to talk to at Allen Color Craft (AKA The Allen Company). If you are interested in these items to promote your own business contact your local promotional items vendor or email info@proformagreen.com for information and pricing.
