A lot of schools and other organizations will be doing events around Earth Day that are targeted towards educating children and young adults about the environment. In many cases these events will be taking their audience to parks or other extended day out style events.
For the Ecopreneurists out there who are going to be running – or in some other way associated with these events – I would like to suggest an item that can both help promote your organization and educate your young audience. The Owl Tempo 100% Recycled Backpack.
This is another item from the the highly successful Owl line from Leeds which focuses on promotional bags, totes, portfolios and other items made recycled materials.
Measuring H 17″ x W 6.75″ x L 12.25″ the Owl Tempo 100% Recycled Backpack is a good, basic backpack. It has a main zippered compartment, plus front zippered pocket and two side mesh beverage pockets. The Tempo’s straps are adjustable. This is a great pack for youths or adults.
The Tempo is made from 100% post-consumer recycled PET. It is also marked with a patch similar to the one shown here for the Owl Duffel which lets the kids know that the Tempo was once water bottles and yogurt containers. How cool is that? A bag that is practical and educational.
As a marketing tool the bag is affordable at EQP $11.50, and has over 15 imprinting methods including screen printing, embroidery and PhotoReal, so you have a lot of options on how to get your logo or message across.

A great idea and a good looking bag that I think many people will find appealing on more than one level.
It’s remarkable to me that we haven’t seen these recycled products similar to this really go mainstream yet….but I don’t think it will be too terribly long until we do see that.
Great post, and good info to use.
